Caya Community Guidelines

Caya’s mission is to uplift moms everywhere by making motherhood less lonely and more honest.

We created these community guidelines to keep the energy, tone, and content on Caya aligned with our mission.

If your content breaches our guidelines, you may lose access to Caya.

Who we are…

We uplift each other.

Caya Moms use our voices to uplift each other. We resist any temptation to attack, condemn, or shame other members. We respect that our individual energy contributes to the collective energy of our community.

We embrace diversity.

Thank GOODNESS that we are unique in our backgrounds, ethnicities, sexual orientations, motherhood journeys, and styles! That uniqueness offers each of us fresh perspectives and stories, and helps us grow. We have zero tolerance for discrimination.

We choose support over judgment.

Support feels better than judgment, so we lean into supporting each other over casting judgments that hurt more than they help.

We lead with kindness & respect.

For thousands of years, women have relied on each other for compassion, empathy, and connection. We carry that torch proudly by treating each other with kindness and respect.

Who We’re Not…

We aren’t sneaky

Trusting each other is the foundation of the Caya community, so we don’t use other people’s content or information without their explicit, written permission, and we never pretend to be anyone else. Why would we when we’re each so amazing?!

We don’t share false “facts”

Caya is a perfect place to share knowledge, information, tips, and stories. While we encourage meaningful conversations and healthy debates, we do not permit sharing content that is inaccurate, false, or that causes harm to our community.

We aren’t copycats

We are each full of creative content, so there’s no need to plagiarize anyone else’s. If we’re sharing other people’s content, such as quotes, stories, etc., we include credit to the original source.

We aren’t mean

We have a zero-tolerance policy for any content that contains hate speech. This includes (but is not limited to) content that attacks, threatens, incites violence against, or otherwise dehumanizes an individual or group across:

• Race
• Ethnicity
• Religion
• Sexual orientation
• Disability
• Gender identity
• Age
• Socioeconomic status

We do not bully

We do not tolerate anyone being shamed, bullied, or harassed. This behavior can come in many forms, from making threats and releasing personally identifiable information to sending unwanted messages and screenshotting content without permission.

We do not exploit ourselves or each other

It is our responsibility to care about the wellbeing of our community and any minors associated with it, such as our members’ children. We don’t tolerate content that perpetuates the abuse, harm, or exploitation of minors. We don’t permit nudity, pornography, sexually explicit content or sexual solicitation.

We don’t use Caya to perform illegal activities

Criminal activities cover a wide range of acts punishable by law, including theft, exploitation, and other harmful behavior. To prevent such behavior from being facilitated, we may remove content relating to criminal activities.

We don’t promote multi-level marketing schemes.

Caya is aware of the MLM epidemic targeting moms in particular. We will do our best to protect our community from being targeted, and we encourage our members to flag content that may compromise the integrity of our platform and its community.

We don’t lie.

Team Caya is grateful to members who help us flag content that breaches our Community Guidelines. False reporting, however, distracts our team from keeping our community safe.

We will not tolerate intentional or repeated misuse of our reporting tool, such as reports shared in retaliation to a personal dispute.

If you have any questions about our Community Guidelines or our Reporting Process, please don’t hesitate to contact us at support@cayamoms.com
